19th Annual 10K Run/Walk Drew Big Crowd
Last Sunday afternoon we celebrated the 19th Annual 10K Road Race. It drew hundreds of participants and observers, who came from across the island, and from overseas. Scott Brittain was the first male runner to pass the finishing line with a time of 36’12. The first female runner to cross the finishing line was Kedeen Foster, who ran the race in 49’26.
Among the Walkers, the first male to cross the finishing line was Neville Henry and the first female was Icylin Kerr (Aunty) both walkers were from the Savannah church.
We sincerely want to thank allthe churches for their support.
A special thank you to all our faithful volunteers, without you 10K would never be a success. The 10k road race, sponsored by our Conference, was introduced to our territory by our former Youth Director Pastor F.M. Grant, 20 years ago. It has certainly become a popular event in these islands of the sea. Let’s continue to support it so that it can continue to grow and become a powerful witnessing means of reaching a cross section of our community for Christ.
