Dr. Patrick Allen Visits

January 19, 2008

Dr. Patrick Allen, president of West Indies Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, visited the Cayman Islands Conference, last week-end, along with the other two officers from the Union. During his visit we had the privilege to attend a joint service at the George Town Adventist church, where he addressed all those in attendance. In his message he challenged the membership to follow the method of Jesus, which is the best method to reach people for the Kingdom. “Jesus mingled with people as One who desired their good; He ministered to their needs, showed compassion to them …,then bid them follow Him.” Pentecost and More 2008 will only be successful, if we follow Christ’s method. Let’s pray and work for a repetition of Pentecost, on March 15th. Cayman’s goal for that date is 150 souls.

Pastor and Sister Dracket were honored by the members of the Maranatha Adventist church, last Sabbath, for their services given to that congregation. The Maranatha church worships at the C.I. Sea Farers Association building, located in Prospect, the corner of Shamrock road and Victory Ave. Let’s continue to pray for our small congregations that by God’s grace they will be empowered to help in the finishing of God’s work in these islands of the sea.
