Special Baptism
November 10, 2007
The Bethel Seventh-day Adventist Church, located in West Bay, embarked upon an outreach program to witness to the Cuban refugees in Grand Cayman. These refugees are housed temporarily in George Town, close to the Fairbanks prison, and supervised by the Immigration Department. Pastor Dracket, along with members of the Bethel church, including two teachers from Cayman Academy (Nancy Clark and Yamileth Quiros), requested permission from the Immigration Department to visit the detainees. Permission was granted, and the group conducted Bible studies for more than eight weeks, using the “Faith of Jesus” Bible course. The small group of members from the Bethel church was blessed with the privilege of witnessing four members of the Cuban group committing their lives to Christ in Baptism.
