Retreat and Mid – Year Meeting

Pastors McDonald and Dracket along with Mrs. Sheila Woods were in attendance at the Administrators retreat in Jamaica last weekend. It was sponsored by the West Indies Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.  Dr. George W. Brown, former president of the Inter-American Division was the devotional speaker. Certainly our hearts burned within us, as we were inspired by his messages. Dr. Harold Lee, former president of the Columbia Union Conference and Pastor Jenson Trotman from the IAD were among the guest presenters.

June 10 – 11, the Mid-Year Executive Committee Meetings of West Indies Union Conference were held at the headquarters in Mandeville, Jamaica.   The Cayman Islands Conference has five representatives on this committee.   Reports from across the Union’s territory are given at these meetings, as well as projections for the remainder of the year. Additional plans are also established for the coming years.   This is the decision forum for God’s work throughout this territory – Bahamas, Cayman, Jamaica and Turks & Caicos.
