Womens Convention 2008

HUNDREDS ATTEND WOMEN MINISTRIES CONVENTION

Hundreds of women, and a few men, were gathered last Sabbath at the Family Life Center, in George Town, for this annual event. The Guest Speaker this year was Mrs. Shelly Quinn, from 3ABN. Her messages were certainly inspiring, and will long remain in the minds and hearts of those who attended.

In the top photo is Sister Shirlene Henriques, W.M. Director for our Conference; the Guest Speaker and other guest presenters. On Sunday morning, the Women had a Prayer breakfast at the West Bay Primary School Hall. This event helped to bring the women even closer to each other, and be united in preparation for the coming of the Lord. We commend Sister Shirlene Henriques, and all the Women Ministries Leaders in our churches, for the part they played in making this convention a success.

From the Womens Ministries Director

S HenriquesWelcome

We are pleased to welcome you to our Women’s Convention. It is a blessing to be able to come apart from the hustle & bustle of our every day lives for a respite as we seek God together. We welcome those men who have chosen to join their wives for the Friday and Sabbath programs. Sunday morning’s Prayer Breakfast is geared specifically for the Women. I want to welcome in a special way Mrs. Shelly Quinn our keynote speaker, and her Husband. We are delighted to have you and hope you will be equally blessed as you spend time with us. Welcome to our other guests: Mrs. Abigail Parchment, Pastor Shian O’Connor, Mrs. Rose Dracket, Dr. Fiona Robertson, and Mrs. Claudia Brady. It is our prayer that you will enjoy the fellowship, fun and food as well as a week-end evidenced by God’s wonderful blessings. Remember to pass on warmth by your hugs, watered by your smiles so that the seed of faith may grow. The planning Committee and I have been praying for you and we are so happy to welcome you to this weekend celebration of Prayer & Praise. It is our earnest prayer that you will come and open your hearts and extend your hands so that they may be fully clasped in the hands of the creator.
