Responsibilities of the Youth Department include: initiate specific long-term strategic planning to meet youth ministry needs in consultation with divisions; initiate ideas, plans, and programs in cooperation with division youth ministries personnel; coordinate, evaluate, and monitor youth ministries work and resource materials worldwide; plan, develop, produce, and oversee, in consultation with the divisions, the implementation of a world curricula for religious education of youth; conduct training seminars, workshops, and congresses both for the department and the specialized ministries or programs withing the department.
